Our Story
Over 1 billion people globally suffer from sleep apnea and chronic respiratory diseases. Medical long-term monitoring of such patients is not possible with the current outdated technology – wait times to undergo sleep studies can go upwards of 8 months, the process is expensive and there is a dire need for digitalization of data and processes today. Our founders recognized that intervention was urgently required as there had to be an easier and more efficient way for patients to get data on their sleep.

At Sleepiz, we believe that there is a huge potential to improve the standards of care through remote monitoring, which is why we are pushing the boundaries by transitioning from traditional wearables to contactless monitoring. Founded in the heart of Zurich, we take pride in continuing the Swiss legacy of providing products that are precise, accurate, and of utmost quality.
Sleepiz leverages the power of sleep insights with a device that is simply placed on the bedside table. The device operates in a non-contact fashion and measures movements originating from heart contractions and breathing patterns, as well as body motions with medical grade accuracy. We prioritize patient comfort and empower them to manage their own health. Together with our strong network of leading clinical and research partners in Switzerland and Europe, we are passionately innovating within the medical domain.

Meet our Founders
Sleepiz AG was founded in the beginning of 2018 by three graduates of ETH Zurich and one graduate of the University of St. Gallen with the vision to improve people’s lives by creating the future of healthcare.
Since foundation, we have grown into a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary team, combining expertise in millimeter wave technology, sensor fusion, machine learning and business development. Headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, Sleepiz AG expanded to a new location in just under a year after inception. Our two Indian founders leveraged their competitive understanding of the Indian geography to establish our own subsidiary in Pune, India of leading scientists and professionals. Within 2 years, we have grown to more than 30 people from renowned academic and industrial institutions around the globe.
